Leigh Northey, a kindergarten teacher at Elba Elementary School, has been awarded teacher of the year. 
This award is voted on by fellow educators at the school and is given to a teacher that goes above and beyond for his/her students and also shows outstanding character. Northey was awarded this honor on March 30,2015.
