On Friday, October 17th, Amaia Vargas checked into the Dothan Civic Center for

her final day of practice for the Little Miss National Peanut Festival pageant. She,

along with 40 other second grade girls from across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama,

had spent a great deal of time together since May at practices and parties.

Though there was a lot of work involved, Amaia enjoyed the once in a lifetime

opportunity to represent the great city of Elba. On Saturday, October 18th

sat before five judges and answered many questions. That night, she took the

stage and showed just what Elba is all about! She was named one of the top ten

finalists and placed in the top five for stage presence. We couldn’t be prouder of
