With the new football season fast approaching, not only are our Tiger football players and cheerleaders shaping up for the new season, our Elba High School Marching Tiger Band members are as well. The band has been working very hard in order to make this season the best yet! This year’s band motto is “Strive for the Highest” and that’s exactly what the EHSMTB plans to do. With a whole new collection of songs, drills, and routines, this year’s show is sure to bring the crowd to their feet and blow them away!  Mr. Hawthorne, the band director sums it all up nicely when he says, “We are a family”.

Our band will be presenting an awesome arrangement of songs featuring classics such as Crazy on You by Heart, I Just Want to Celebrate, along with our intense drum feature named Six Pence, and lastly our dramatic closer called Skyfall by Adele. Leading the band this year will be Drum Major Paige Weeks along with Band Captain Christal Ingerman. In addition to this year’s new show the band is also bringing in new stand tunes such as Happy, Gangnam Style and many more! However, for those who love our classic stand tunes such as the Fight Song and Eye of the Tiger, do not worry, those will also be presented along with many other Tiger Fan favorites!
