The Future Business Leaders of America state conference was held on April 17-18 in Birmingham, AL.  Three Elba High School FBLA officers attended this conference: Brittany Compton, Julimaya Matthews, and Kelsey Kelley.  The students attended several sessions where they heard Amy Gallimore and Bryant Collier both interesting motivational speakers.   One exciting session included being able to hear singer Casey Thrasher, an American Idol finalist.

The students were also involved with electing state FBLA officers for the 2014-2015 school year and being involved in competitive testing.  Other workshops included preparing financially for college, dressing for the interview, and careers in the financial industry.  Going to the conference was a great experience because the students were able to interact with other FBLA members throughout the state.
